Sup! I’m Ruoall.
That’s me, to the right. I mean it would be weird posting a photo of someone else now wouldn’t it?
Why do I look so damn serious!?! Anyway, welcome to my site, my page and thanks for indulging me.
About Me
I’m a technology enthusiast, YouTube growth guru, and Software & AI fanatic.
My journey has been far from ordinary. It’s taken me from selling dash wipes at petrol stations while still in high school to working in shitty pubs in England, from selling gas and electricity door-to-door in the pouring rain to demonstrating Kirby vacuum equipment.
Every encounter, no matter how insignificant, has moulded me and spurred my love of technology and creativity.
In 2012, I took a leap of faith and founded a YouTube marketing agency. Mostly it was because I hate working for someone.
To say that it’s been a wild ride, is an understatement, but I got to work with big names like Paris Hilton, Ozzy Osbourne, and Doja Cat to name but a few, and helping over 9,000 registered clients grow their and their client’s channels.
With more than 300,000 completed projects under my belt since 2012, I’ve seen it all, learned a lot and know a thing or two on how to rank a video on YouTube.
I’ve even navigated the dark side of PayPal, making and losing $1,000,000 along the way.
But every experience, every success, and every setback has only deepened my expertise and my commitment to helping others succeed on YouTube, the internet and in life.
Kinda my mission to help people.
But my passion for technology doesn’t stop at YouTube. I’ve spent countless hours exploring the capabilities of AI tools like ChatGPT.
Countless!!
It’s been a fascinating journey, and I’ve loved every minute of it. I’ve
managed to master these tools, and I’m always excited to share what I’ve learned with others.
Throughout my journey, I have had the opportunity to oversee IT projects and successfully implement DMARC Email Security protocols for renowned industry pioneers. However, what truly excites me is the realm where technology and creativity converge.
I have always been fascinated with SEO and content marketing utilizing these skills to assist businesses in establishing effective infrastructures.
During these three years working as a DMARC Specialist, I have fully embraced the work lifestyle, successfully completing numerous projects for clients. This experience has allowed me to collaborate with teams across the United States and Canada. I have truly enjoyed the opportunity to work alongside such a group of individuals on a wide array of projects.
Furthermore, I have gained experience working with CRM systems and software in general. These experiences have provided me with a perspective on the implementation process. I take great pleasure in sharing this knowledge with others.
Ultimately I am a tech enthusiast who possesses a passion for creativity and innovation.
Exploring the AI tools assisting in the growth of YouTube channels and sharing my experiences are all things that bring me joy. Therefore whether you are seeking insights, into AI, software tools and services reviews or wish to join me on my journey of YouTube growth I extend a welcome to you! I am excited to share my world with you.
My Experience
England Adventure – 2002 – 2004
As with most youngsters who feel that Uni is a waste of time, they end up travelling the world. In my case the “world” revolved in and around London. Here I mostly worked in pubs, got chased down the street by multiple home owners for trying to sell them gas and electricity and got banned from re-entering the UK for 10 years because I “overstayed my welcome”. Yeah, that happened.
At least I got to see David Blaine hanging inside a glass box 🙂
PS: Photos taken with a potato at the time.
Started Corporate (ugh) Career – 2005 – 2015
I mean this is what everyone strives for, right? Building a “career” and working your ass off only to get 21 days a year off, some pension and hardly any joy out of life.
This was me where I worked as a Software Developer, 3rd Level Support Engineer, Implementations Engineer and Integrations Manager. All for software and SaaS companies.
It hated it.
PS: My interest in all things “internet” started in 2007(ish) where I started dabbling with Affiliate Marketing, etc.
I loved it.
Started working for myself – 2015 – 2019
So remember that bit where I started a YouTube agency in 2012? Well, in 2015, I started doing that fulltime.
Calling it a rollercoaster of a ride is the understatement of the year.
I went from literally doing over $1,000,000 in revenue as a “one man business”, to losing everything. E V E R Y T H I N G.
There’s a bit of a story to that.
Needless to say, it taught me an INCREDIBLE amount about myself, life and business. Part of the reason this project exists is to help you NOT make those same mistakes.
Back to Corporate (ugh) – 2019 – 2023
As hard as this is for me to write, I have to be honest with you. After losing everything, I had to do something to “survive” and so, back to corporate I went. Reluctantly.
While still full-time in corporate, it absolutely doesn’t mean that I’ve lost my spark for doing stuff like this blog. O no Siree. On the contrary.
I’ve built myself back up again, got married, became a father and moved my family out of our small 90sqm house into a 4 bedroom, two-storey house in Cape Town.
And so, the journey continues.
Thanks for joining me on this ride.
